(Basic) Flash Tutorial: Sprite animation & buttons.

This tutorial video shows how to animate sprites in Flash.
And how to use buttons to jump between frames.
It's pretty simple stuff.
But it's actually possible to make a simple game with just this.
For instance, Guardia Forest works this way.

Somebody on FA wanted to know how to do sprite animation,
and I came up with this "advice" for him.
(I think I went a little overboard)
Having spent all day making this, there was
no point in showing it to only one person.
So I'll post it here for anyone else who's new to Flash.

i feel like an idiot for not trying the registration ponit for aligment, i always used my eyes and the go-back from frame to frame until they were fixed T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T

Yeah, but this is pretty basic stuff.
There are plenty of Flash tutorials about the basics as it is.
People here were wanting tutorials about more intermediate-level stuff.
I'm open to suggestions about what to talk about.

I feel like an idiot for not trying the registration point for alignment. I always used my eyes and the go-back from frame to frame until they were fixed T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T

With platformers, I find that it's convenient to
make characters stand on the registration point.
That way, you always know where the ground is,
and it doesn't matter how big or tall the character is.


You might also try using the onion-skin feature in Flash.
Though it's better for helping you animate vector-based images.

It's not too helpful for small pixel-based images though.
(You drag those handles above the frames to specify which frames to show)

for a sugestion about a topic, what about talking on how keep the game light, so it runs at the same speed on different computers?
Or maybe how to plit coding among the movieclips/buttons/frames to have a good performance.

thanks for the tips i did play alittle whit the program a year ago maybe im just to stupid cause i dont know how to make animations.Now that i see it it seems kinda easy
