A little food for thought. Most of these games, often made on GameMaker or various other Maker engines, are not optimized or as highly tuned as most games that you find in the retail market. To compare something like Nightmare Sphere to Grand Theft Auto IV is a vastly unfair. Just because something doesn't work for you, specifically, doesn't necessarily make it a bad game.

Then again, most retail games aren't very well optimized, either.

some bad news

The author has suffered a mental breakdown and has been battling bouts of depression the past couple of months and as a result has announced that development of Nightmare Sphere Zero has been put on indefinite hold.

My condolences for him. I hope he makes it through this trial in his life in good spirits and good health, for what that is worth.

An update!

..well, not on the game (sorry to get hopes up), but the dev today made a brief "I'm not dead" post on his blog and mentioned that he has quietly resumed working on it.

Well, nice to hear he's alive still! ;D
Did he mention how he was feeling as well? I hope he has gotten at least a little better after all of that.

I second this... Hearing that the dev of ANY game is down worries me... Not joking...
